Report shows Atlantic Canadians are spending less on Christmas shopping this year

Many people have already started their Christmas shopping, but as inflation spirals out of control, what do you plan to spend?

A new report suggests Canadians will significantly reduce their holiday spending this year due to the cost of living crunch. As NTV’s Bailey Howard tells us, the report shows the lowest spending will be in the Atlantic provinces.

Road closure near Hampden Junction

The RCMP is advising motorists that the TCH approximately 10 kms west of Hampden Junction is currently impassable in both directions and will remain so for an unknown period of time.

Search continues for missing St. John’s teenager

Police are continuing the search for a missing teenager from St. John’s.

15-year-old Liam Tripp was last seen in the area of St. Clare Avenue on Friday, October 13th.

Tripp is described as 6’5″, 180 pounds with blue/green eyes and light brown hair. 

Police have concerns for the teen’s safety and ask anyone with information to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.

Police safely locate missing Labrador City man

Police have safely located Chris Dawson.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Labrador City man.

43-year-old Chris Dawson was last seen on Friday, October 20th at about 8:00 a.m. He was reported missing to police at about 10:30 p.m.

Dawson is described as 5’10”, 220-240 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be operating a white 2012 Ford F-150 with Newfoundland and Labrador license plate CVC 692.

Police have concerns for Chris Dawson’s safety and ask anyone with information to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
